Youth Rowing

High School Rowing - 2024/2025 Registration Opening Soon! 

• • • • Grades: 8 through 12 - No Experience Needed!
      • Location: 4000 Sarasota Crew Way, Osprey 
      • NEW! Location: Nathan Benderson Park, additional programming for Novice only
      • Fall Session: August 14, 2024 - December 14, 2024
      • Spring Session: January 6, 2025 - May 11, 2025
      • Cost: TBD. Race fees are charged separately.
      • Rowers that are new to the program get 1 uni and 1 travel polo. Replacements or extras can be purchased only from the Team Administrator's office.
      • Fall and Spring race fees are charged separately. There are a few races that only select athletes attend and only those selected athletes will pay for those races.

      • Bus: We are able to run a bus from Pine View HS to practice. Runs daily for  HS rowers Aug-Dec and then Jan-Mar. To sign up for the bus you simply register under the Join Us -Youth Rowing - Transportation tab.

Middle School Rowing - 2024/2025 Registration Opening Soon! 

• • • • • Grades: 6 through 8 -  No experience necessary!
        • Location: 343 Palmetto Ave, Osprey
        • NEW! Location: Nathan Benderson Park, additional programming for Novice & Middle School
        • Singles Program (2 oars per rower) & 8's Program (1 oar per rower) Available
        • Fall Season:  Preseason Aug 27 - Sept 28 (Tues/Sat only), Regular Session Oct 1 - Dec 14 (No practice during Thanksgiving week)
        • Spring Season: January 13 - March 28 (No practice during the week of March 9-16). 
        • Spring Season Add-On: TBA but likely to run a few days a week mid-April through mid-May.
        • Practice Times: Sat 8:30-11:30 AM. Plus you pick one weekday: M, T, Th, F 4:30 PM-6:45 PM (6:30 PM during Daylight Savings)
        • *Schedule Note: For those who may get out of school later in the day, it is ok to arrive after 5:00PM for your weekday practice. You will still be able to participate.
        • Program Fee: TBD. For 2 practices a week for the entire regular season. You pick one weekday and practice on Saturdays.
        • Additional Days: Add an additional day for the season for TBD per additional day

Elementary School Rowing - 2024/2025 Registration Opening Soon! 

• • • • • Grades: 3rd through 5th grades - No Experience Needed!
        • Location: 343 Palmetto Ave, Osprey, FL
        • Days and Time: Mondays and Fridays only 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm, unless otherwise noted below. 
        • Capacity: The program restricted to 18 rowers per session
        • Fall Session One: August 29th - September 28th
        • Fall Session Two:  Sept 30th - November 1st
        • Fall Session Three: November 4th  - December 14th (No practice during Thanksgiving Week) Practice for this session 4:30-6:15
        • Spring Session One: January 10th - February 14th (No practice MLK Day Jan 15). Practice for this session is 4:30-6:15
        • Spring Session Two: February 21st - April 7th (No practice Mar 7th, 10th, or 14th)
        • Spring Session Three: April 14th - May 16th
        • Cost: TBD for 2 days a week/session
        • Singles Only: - Sculling (2 oars per rower) in singles, learn the skills of handling your own boat and the refined skills it takes to row a single
        •  Bus: We are able to provide an optional bus service for Pine View students. It runs both Monday and Friday for elementary rowers. To sign up for the bus you simply register under the Join Us - Youth Rowing - Transporation tab.)

Masters Rowing

Sarasota Crew's Masters program, offering competitive and recreational rowing, is designed for rowers with prior rowing experience. Some of our current Masters are parents of our youth program members,  driven by the interest in experiencing the fun, fitness, and camaraderie that their children enjoy.

Adult Learn to Row Sessions are offered multiple times a year, as well as private/group lessons throughout the year for a smooth transition into the group coached rows.  Sarasota Crew is the only coaching-inclusive rowing club in the Sarasota area, providing highly skilled and experienced coaching staff at each of our practice sessions. All are welcome to join our Adult program, where we are on a continual path to increasing each of our members overall quality of life.
