Not Just a Camp!
2027 - Masters Rowing February Symposium - Sweep and Sculling Options
An annual tradition! Come row and learn in Sunny Sarasota! It's not JUST rowing and video, but we do lots of that too!

When: Thursday-Friday, February 18-19.

What: 2 day of rowing, rowing and more rowing with unmatched coaching! Sweep and Sculling options! The symposium will combine on the water rows, with in-depth video sessions and on-land convention style seminars to help you do a deep dive into becoming a better and smarter rower. The two days will include full days of rowing, seminars and video. We will start in the morning both days and wrap up late afternoon in enough time for some group dinners or you to get on the road if you want. We will send out a survey to collect your preferences of sweep and sculling after you register.

Dates:
2-Day Option: Feb 18-19
Full Week Options: Feb 18-21

Who: Masters rowers of all levels will be accomodated! We will group rowers of similar experience levels. Sweep vs. Sculling: You can decide if you sign up for 2 days or 4 days. Coaches already committed to the February 18-21, 2027 Camp (This is only the beginning as we offer great coach:athlete ratio):

  • Lindsay Shoop - Gold medal Olympian, MSED, CSCS brings years of coaching rowing at all levels with a masters education in Exercise Physiology that masters rowers all over the country have gained from. Lindsay has worked masters rowing camps (as well as youth) for years. She also has been a commentator for many rowing events including most recently the NBC Paris Olympic rowing broadcasts.
  • Anna Goodale - You would never know it when you meet her, but Anna has many international medals from her time on the National Team including an Olympic Gold in the Women's 8+ in 2008. She has coached at many different levels of rowing, but enjoys fostering a great learning environment for our masters camps. She lives in Maine so she will be enjoying the warmer weather along with many of our rowers!
  • Mike Wallin - Coach Wallin has been the Director and Head Coach of the Chicago Rowing Foundation for over 20 years, but don't let that fool you--he's a true Philly guy where he first fell in love with the sport in high school. He coached the U19 National Team in 2021 and 2022 bringing back to back championships for the US Women's U19 8+ and also a world record time. His crews at CRF are a regular on the Youth Nationals medal stands. He loves hopping in launches with our masters camp and diving into all the details of rowing.
  • Robin Brown - Robin coached medal winning teams at University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), Marin Rowing and Three Rivers Rowing before earning her Masters in Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh.
